Welcome to Howland Homestead Farm's web site! We are located in South Kent, Connecticut, in Litchfield County's Northwest Hills. Howland Homestead Farm is a small farm and homestead producing organically raised grass fed and milk fed meats using rare livestock breeds. We raise Randall cattle, Tamworth pigs, and a variety of heritage breed chickens. We sometimes have Randall cattle breeding stock available for sale.
The purpose of this site is simply to provide an armchair view of our farm for our friends and neighbors, customers new and old, and for anyone interested in small farming, healthy eating, and conserving our endangered livestock genetic resources. From time to time, we will be listing our products for sale here, check the box to the right for current availability. At the moment, all meat sales are at the farm.
We have been blessed with beautiful scenery here, which is further enhanced and animated by our livestock. We hope that you will enjoy the images on this site as much as we enjoy living and working surrounded by their subjects.
