Welcome to Howland Homestead Farm's web site!  We are located in South Kent, Connecticut, in Litchfield County's Northwest Hills.  Howland Homestead Farm is a small farm and homestead producing organically raised grass fed and milk fed meats using rare livestock breeds.  We raise Randall cattleTamworth pigs, and a variety of heritage breed chickens.  We sometimes have Randall cattle breeding stock available for sale.
The purpose of this site is simply to provide an armchair view of our farm for our friends and neighbors, customers new and old, and for anyone interested in small farming, healthy eating, and conserving our endangered livestock genetic resources.  Although we'd love to hear from you, we will not be marketing our products on this site.  All meat sales will continue to be made locally at the Kent Farmer's Market and from the farm.  At present we have no plans to sell online.
We have been blessed with beautiful scenery here, which is further enhanced and animated by our livestock.  We hope that you will enjoy the images on this site as much as we enjoy living and working surrounded by their subjects.
